Mar 8, 1 1 Hamilton. I have a Beretta 92FC, era, original owner, needless to say the night sights were dull, dirty and hard to see even in daylight.

I tried everything I could think of to bring some life back to them. All failed. Frustrated, I was going to give up. Then while I was cleaning my Harley, it dawned on me how great S total cycle cleaner worked on the bike. What the heck I thought, I took a q-tip and sprayed some of the S on it and rubbed the sights.

Surprise it brought back the white and they actually glow in the dark again. Hope this helps others. Jan 19, 18 Northern Indiana. Nice to,see someone actually uses the search feature. Brought back a thread from the dead. Good job Harley Dude! Sep 6, 84 6 Franklin. I was wondering the same thing about my 92FS. Will look into the Trijicons. DocIndy Master. Mar 30, 1, Franklin. Cool thread from the dead! Feb 12, 59 6 Indiana. Paint can make a huge improvement. Fingernail polish has worked well for me. Brickmandan Plinker. Mar 4, 18 Wheeler. You can repaint them with fingernail polish or model paint and a toothpick.

Painting the rear sight dots white and the front sight dot red makes a nice contrast and easier to focus on the front sight. You must log in or register to reply here. I ended up putting true Beretta target adjustable from my 22LR kit on the Brigadier slide and the original fixed rear on the 22 slide and it turned out well.

The Brigadier and Vertec slides are becoming very rare and very very expensive. Have you looked into a 92A1 slide? They are basically the same except the front sight blade is attatched with a screw on the inside of the slide. Should be cheaper than the Vertec of Centurion slide. A 92A1 slide will not fit on a standard 92FS frame. The reverse does work, however - but you will have a gap at the dustcover area. You might give that a try before going all out with slide swapping or cutting on your gun.
