Now I have no idea where the deleted module is, and I would still like to uninstall it. If I try to reinstall the module Joomla tells me it's already there, so I know delete and uninstall are not the same. The module appears on no list I can find, and I see no trash can for deleted modules; is there one? How can I find, undelete, and then truly uninstall this deleted module? I appreciate any help with this!!!

FInd your module in the list, select it and click the uninstall option along the top toolbar. First though - be sure that you really intend this. If you will truly never use it and fear it is a performance drain or security risk then uninstalling is the way to go. I want to keep my Joomla site unencumbered by extensions I'm not using, and I have no expectation of using this one. I have tried and uninstalled modules before with no problem, as you described.

I don't know why I deleted this one instead of uninstalling it, but I'd like to get rid of it. Any other suggestions would be MUCH appreciated!

Re: How to uninstall a deleted module Post by mandville » Tue Mar 30, am you wil need to go into the sql database and delete it from there. No way to get to it via Joomla's back end? I'll take your word for it, since I can't find a way either. Cancel Reply.
